About

Security operations that run themselves.

Athena Agentic builds the agentic core for security operations: a platform that runs the work, not another tool your team has to run.

Why we exist

You cannot hire your way to round the clock.

The shortage of security talent is structural. The volume of alerts is not. The gap between the two is where breaches live: coverage no team can staff, a stack no one can consolidate, and a window between compromise and containment that is measured in the wrong units. Athena closes that gap by putting agents on the work, under an authority matrix the security leader controls, so the operation keeps running at 2am and across a weekend.

How it works

One platform, four Defenders, ten adversaries.

Athena commands and orchestrates the operation. Aegis, Vigil and Citadel are the agentic workforce: Aegis detects and responds, Vigil keeps the around the clock watch, and Citadel hardens the estate so there is less to defend. Every action is scoped, reversible and logged, with a human on the loop for anything irreversible. The result is the outcomes leaders fund: less risk, more resilience, and a security operation that proves what it did.

Agentic, not assistiveAgents do the work and own the outcome, under authority you set.
Reversible by designEvery action is scoped, logged and undoable, with a human on the loop.
One operationDetection, response, the watch and hardening, run as one, not four tools.
The team

Built by people who have run security at scale.

Athena is led by chief executive Michael Bertamini and chief AI officer Brett Kelsey, with a leadership team carrying depth across enterprise security, artificial intelligence and go to market. Meet the people building it on the leadership page, and if you want to help, see open roles.
