Agentic Orchestration

Reasoning in. Reversible action out.

What is Agentic Orchestration?

Agentic Orchestration is the runtime that makes Athena agentic. It coordinates planner–executor agents, applies the autonomy tensor that sets authority per tenant, domain and risk tier, and routes every decision through a deterministic execution plane that is repeatable, audited and reversible. It is the shared machinery every Function runs on.

What it does

The machinery of autonomy.

Planner–executor agents

Agents that reason over context and plan, then hand off to deterministic execution.

The autonomy tensor

Authority set per tenant × domain × risk: advisory, supervised or autonomous.

Deterministic plane

Decisions execute the same way every time: repeatable, audited, reversible.

How it works

Reason, gate, execute.

Agents reason

Specialist agents plan a response over live context, not a fixed playbook.

The tensor gates

The autonomy matrix decides what runs automatically and what waits for a human.

Execute reversibly

The deterministic plane carries out the action and records its undo.

Outcome. Reasoning goes in; repeatable, audited, reversible action comes out.
